The marker (7) can be a flat round disc and may be made from a stainless material. It can be positioned on the front part of the top of the shoe (1) and moved slightly to the outside and the top, at least two to three cm and not more than eight to nine cm from the sole (2). The holding element of a snap fastener is fixed to the shoe. The marker provides the convex insert for the snap fastener. To fasten it the element is slotted through an elongated opening in the top leather or tongue (6), edged and pressed from the back. Tongs can be used for pressing or a counter-element may be held in the shoe to press against.
