NUCLEIC ACID FRAGMENTS, DERIVATIVES OF THE MYCOBACTERIUM XENOPI GENOME, AND APPLICATIONS THEREOF

Nucleic acid fragments, derivatives of the Mycobacterium xenopi genome, their applications to the typing and specific identification of the Mycobacterium xenopi, and to the screening for Mycobacterium xenopi infections, as well as to plasmids containing said fragments. Such a nucleotide sequence is comprised of a nucleotide sequence, specific to M. xenopi which does not hybridize in stringent hybridation conditions, with any other nucleotide sequence of mycobacteria; it is particularly contained in a sequence PstI-PstI of 1200 pairs of bases (pb) or a fragment of such sequence, such as the fragment of 288 pb, which has formula (SEQ n DEG 1).
