Equipment for inter-personal communication. Comprises a computer system 1 with at least one microprocessor and a means of storing data and programs; at least one user access terminal 2 and at least one operating terminal 3 are connected to the said computer system, each of the user access terminals 2 comprising: a means of recording images 5, a means for the programmed introduction of data 6, a means of display 7, and a means of supplying user identification elements 8; and each of the operating terminals 3 comprising: a means of identifying a user 11, through identification elements supplied by the user access terminals 2, a means for the programmed introduction of data 12, and means of display 13. The operating terminals enable a previously identified user to enter data into the computer system and to access at least a part of the data entered into the computer system by other users. This equipment enables different users to strike up friendships with confidentiality and privacy and at the same time offers entertainment. <IMAGE>
