The invention relates to novel optically active N- alpha -fluoroacrylolyamino acid derivatives of the general formula (I) in which R1, R2, R3 and X have the meaning given in the description, to a process for the preparation, to their polymerisation to give optically active polymers and to the use of these optically active polymers as adsorbents for the chromatographic resolution of racemates into their enantiomers.
