The plant pot (1) on a plant or pot pallet are arranged on a felt mat (2), serving as a water reservoir. The felt mat is supported by a plate-shaped body (3) of floating material. The felt mat is covered by a glass fibre fabric (4), acting as a wick, through which roots cannot pass. Pref. the glass fibre fabric overlaps the plate-shaped body at the sides. Its free edges (6) dip into the water (6) in immersed state. The glass fibre fabric may be coupled to the plate-shaped body by underside clamping rods (7), or via a laterally looped strip.
