The lock case (1) has two, or two pairs of, motorised bolts (2,2'), automatically driven into door-post hasp-plate (3) apertures (6,6') when an e.g, optoelectronic detector (7.7') confirms alignment. External locking is completed manually, using a conventional key (CL) driving another bolt (P5), via a cylinder lock (CY); this action also disconnects control and motor supplies. This key, withdrawing its bolt, restores these supplies, but a control unit immobilises the motorised bolts unless the correct proximity key or badge (CP) is offered to a reading head (T1) concealed at an unmarked door location. Opt., release is by coded radio or infra-red signal. Internally, after manual unlocking (CL), a push-button (8) frees the motorised bolts. An emergency battery permits one opening if mains and main battery (BA,B1) both fail.
