<p>The protection device includes a filter which is formed from a number of linked capacitances and inductances connected to ground. The filter input consists of a first, low impedance inductor (1) which is positioned in parallel with the filter input and acts as a high pass filter. The remainder of the filter circuit is made up of a number of low pass stages with series inductors (2,7,12) and parallel capacitors (15,16,17). These elements successively filter out high frequency signals. The filters are interspersed with series and parallel inductors (3-6,8-11,13-14) which are residual low pass filters which filter out strong high frequency signals. <IMAGE></p> |
