<p>A plastic panel is composed of two sheets (1, 2) of thermoplastic material, for example polypropylene filled with wood flour and/or particles or the like. The two sheets (1, 2) comprise bounded regions of mutual contact (201) distributed in any manner and having any shapes and dimensions. The regions of mutual contact are surrounded at least partly by regions of hollow space (3) in which the sheets (1, 2) are separate from each other. According to the invention, along at least one of the peripheral edges of the panel is a reinforcing element formed by at least one peripheral margin (301, 301', 102, 102') of at least one of the sheets (1, 2), which margin is folded in onto one of the faces of the panel or of one of the sheets (1, 2).
