Blends of polycarbonates with polyamides, having high impact strength and high flexural modulus

A polymer blend comprising an aliphatic polyamide matrix and a dispersed phase of a polycarbonate and a compatibilizing agent having pendant succinic anhydride groups or epoxide groups, made under such blending conditions that the polymer stock melt temperature is 290 DEG -350 DEG C., has a combination of excellent toughness and stiffness properties.
