PURPOSE:To obtain the subject nonwoven fabric having excellent drapability without a seam part by laminating specific a first component fiber group and a second component fiber group, introducing resultant laminate onto a support and jetting water stream under pressure from orifices. CONSTITUTION:The first component fiber group 1 mainly containing fibers capable of developing stretchability by heat shrinkage is lapped with the second component fiber group 2 having lower heat shrinkability than the first component fiber group and laminated, then resultant laminate 4 is introduced onto a support 5. Next, said laminate 4 is treated with water stream under pressure 6 jetted from orifices installed in a line at fixed intervals in a direction crossing said laminate, then a first fiber region mainly containing said fiber group 1 and a second fiber region mainly containing said fiber group 2 are rearranged so as to alternately stand in width direction and continuously in length direction, thus interlaced. Thereafter, resultant laminate is heat-treated and shrunk to afford the aimed nonwoven fabric. |
