PURPOSE:To improve the transmission efficiency while maintaining the matching with a conventional equipment by transmitting a status information by means of the violation conversion of frame bits, and transmitting a subchannel information with conventional status bit. CONSTITUTION:On the transmission side, in an envelope forming circuit 2, a data IN1 inputted through the main channel is made into data bits, the information IN2 inputted through the subchannel is made into status bits, and an envelope signal is assembled with these bits and the frame bits generated in a frame pattern generating circuit 1. In the meantime, in accordance with the status of the status information input IN3, a violation control circuit 3 outputs a control information for the violation conversion of the frame bits. In a unipolar/bipolar conversion circuit 4, the unipolar signal of envelope constitution is converted to a bipolar signal, and at the same time the violation conversion is executed under the control signal, and the result is outputted as a transmission output OUT4. |
