PURPOSE:To provide a compact dual mode radio equipment in which the power consumption of a power amplifier to be mounted is reduced and a signal is sent continuously easily and stably even under a condition of a bad amplification efficiency. CONSTITUTION:The radio equipment is provided with a transmission antenna filter 14 with a small attenuation and passing loss in the case of signal input and changeover circuits 12, 13, a control circuit 100 decreases the output level of a power amplifier 1 in the digital mode depending on the result of discrimination of the mode with respect to the digital mode and the analog mode to activate the power amplifier 1 in a linear region and generates a changeover control signal to send an output signal from the power amplifier 1 to the transmission antenna filter 14 via the changeover circuit 12 and generates a switching control signal to increase the output level of the power amplifier 1 in the analog mode and to activate the power amplifier 1 in the saturation region so as to send an output signal from the power amplifier 1 to the transmission antenna filter 4 with a large attenuation and passing loss via the changeover circuit 12. |
