PURPOSE:To obtain an optical information recording medium maintaining a satisfactory lubricating effect over a long period of time by forming a lubricant layer contg. an alkyl modified silicone compd. represented by a prescribed general formula on the surface of a protective film. CONSTITUTION:A 1st dielectric layer 3, a magneto-optical recording film 4, a 2nd dielectric layer 5 and a metallic reflecting film 6 are successively laminated by sputtering on the preformat pattern forming surface 2 of a transparent substrate 1 and a protective film 7 and a lubricative layer 8 are successively formed on the reflecting film 6 to obtain the objective optical information recording medium. The lubricative layer 8 contains an alkyl modified silicone compd. represented by the formula. Since the wettability of the lubricative layer 8 with the protective film 7 is improved, a satisfactory lubricating effect can be maintained over a long period of time and recording-reproducing characteristics and durability can be considerably improved. |
