IMAGE MONITOR RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To transmit information such as a video image and an audio signal from a video camera through an analog or digital line network and to realize an image monitor recording and reproducing (W/R) device able to record/ reproduce a monitor content at an optimum recording rate and high density for a long time. CONSTITUTION:An error code and a synchronizing signal are added to a compression coding signal and the result is fed to a buffer means 10 as a modulation recording digital data signal, stored once sequentially therein and read at a high speed for each prescribed period and the speed is increased high up to an optimum recording rate and the data are recorded on a medium. In the case of reproduction, the data signal is reproduced from the medium intermittently for each prescribed period and the reproduced high speed data signal is written once in the buffer means 10 and read continuously at a low speed and restored into the digital data signal at the original speed and decoded into a video signal through expansion decoding.
