PURPOSE:To use an indoor unit in common by permitting different signals from a detector in an outdoor unit to be inputted by changing over a switch in a controller in an indoor unit, and performing control in the same indoor unit. CONSTITUTION:An air conditioner has a controller 2, which is provided in an indoor unit 1, and a detector 4 and a blower 5, which are provided in an outdoor unit 3, and the indoor unit 1 and outdoor unit 3 are connected to each other by a signal line 6 and a power line 7. An external air temperature detection signal from the detector 4 in the outdoor unit 3 is sent to the controller 2 in the indoor unit 1 through the signal line 6. The signal sent to the controller 2 in the indoor unit 1 executes an arithmetic operation in accordance with the detector 4 by changing over a DIP switch in the controller 2 and controls a frequency so that the blower 5 in the outdoor unit 3 has the required number of rotations, whereby a blowing output of the blower 5 is stabilized. In this way, control can be performed by the same indoor unit 1, and the indoor unit 1 can be used in common. |
