PURPOSE: To provide a system capable of easily coping with the change of the number of time slots. CONSTITUTION: A time division multiple access (TDMA) radio telephony system for transmitting packet data is provided with a base station, a mobile station and at least one logical channel composed of TDMA slots for packet data communication between the base station and the mobile station. The at least one logical channel is provided with a control channel (C) composed of the slots temporarily separated by a group of the continuous slots and an information channel (I) composed of the group of the continuous slots for separating the slots for constituting the control channel (C).
