PURPOSE:To provide a packet switch with improved extendability and expandability by distributing packets inputted through plural input signal line groups to plural output signal line groups and outputting them according to an arrival order. CONSTITUTION:The packets inputted through one of 2K pieces of the input signal lines of the input signal line groups 11 and 12 are switched to either the output signal line group 41 or 42 by 2K pieces of switches 21-22k. Then, the maximum of 2K pieces of the simultaneously switched packets are assigned to K pieces of the output signal lines within the output signal line groups 41 and 42 in order and outputted by buffering modules 31 and 32 belonging to the respective output signal line groups 41 and 42 By the constitution, the switching circuits of the same size are connected in multiple stages and this packet switch with improved extendability and expandability is provided. Also, it is preferable that the buffering modules 31 and 32 are provided with a means for distributing packets which arrive in the 2K pieces of the input to 2K pieces of output.
