PURPOSE:To provide an electric double layer capacitor in which its internal resistance is improved by using a conductive butyl rubber sheet as a current collector in a method for forming the capacitor. CONSTITUTION:The electric double layer capacitor comprises electrodes having solid polarizable electrodes 3, 4 and sheetlike current collectors 1, 2 coupled to the electrodes 3, 4, a separator 7 and electrolyte, wherein the collectors 1, 2 are made of conductive butyl rubber or composed of laminated sheets in which metal is covered with the rubber. |
