PURPOSE:To provide a traffic information selector for an automobile in which traffic information program is selected based on the newest broadcast schedule of broadcast stations receptible for each zone. CONSTITUTION:This selector is provided with an update information reception means 22 receiving update information of a program time table, a 1st storage means 23 storing an updated program time table, a clock means 25 calculating current date and time data, a 2nd storage means 24 storing an area table for each broadcast station, and a channel selection control means 26 that retrieves the area table and the time table based on current position and time and date data and provides an output of channel selection data representing a broadcast station receptible at a current position and broadcasting traffic information at present or starting broadcast of it at a closest time to a traffic information broadcast reception means 20. |
