PURPOSE:To prevent adhesion of foreign matter and generation of flaws on and in an oriented film and to obtain a good orientation state free from defects. CONSTITUTION:The parts to be rubbed to the oriented film at the time of a rubbing treatment are not front ends 120b of napping fibers 120 but are side face parts 120a and are parts of <=60% of the overall length of the napping fibers 120. Then, the pressing force acting on the oriented film is not excessive and the generation of the flaws in the oriented film is prevented. In addition, the pressing force does not increase and, therefore, the napping fibers 120 are not deteriorated and the generation of dust according to the deterioration is prevented. |
