TRANSMISSION CODE ERROR COMPENSATION DEVICE

PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation in accoustic sound quality caused by converting ADPCM codes without errors inside frames when transmission errors are detected inside the frames. CONSTITUTION:In the case of detecting the transmission errors in an error detector 23, when an inverse quantization scale factor y(k) obtained in an ADPCM coder 25 exceeds a threshold value set beforehand, the y (k) is converted to the threshold value. Further, in the case of detecting the transmission errors by the error detector 23 and parameter errors by a parameter error detector 27, the ADPCM codes are converted in an ADPCM code converter 24 and they are decoded in an ADPCM decoder 25 and outputted.
