PURPOSE:To thoroughly stir developer and to prevent a failure due to foreign matter by providing a pipe for circulating the developer to respective developing units and disposing a member for capturing the foreign matter in a specified section in the pipe. CONSTITUTION:The circulation path of developer is constituted with the pipe comprising a falling part 96, connected a guide 87 at one end and connected with a hollow pipe part 89 of a stirring paddle 88 at the other end. Then, a mesh 200 for removing foreign mater with the mesh 200 is provided inside the falling part 96, the foreign matter in the developer passing therethrough is captured, and the foreign matter is removed from the developer passing therethrough to be used for the developing. By providing the mesh 200 inside the pipe in this way, differing from the way that the mesh is simply placed in the developer flow passage inside the developing chamber, the foreign matter captured by the mesh is prevented from returning into the developer in the developing chamber being possibly used for developing instantly, due to the developer in the developing chamber moved by the rotation. Thus, the reduction in cross-sectional area and width in the developing chamber can be attained. |
