PURPOSE:To improve productivity of a shielded wire by tightly coating and connecting each other the terminal sections of shielded conductors from which a second insulating layer is removed over a prescribed length with solder and exposing a shielded section sticking to an inner insulating layer and the insulating layer. CONSTITUTION:The second insulating layer 4 of a shielded wire composed of a signal conductor 1, first insulating layer 2, shielded conductors 3, and the second insulating layer 4 is removed from the end section of the shielded wire and the conductors 3 are coated and connected to each other with solder by dipping the end section of the shielded wire in a Pb/Sn eutectic solder bath for about one second. Then the end sections of the coated and connected conductors 3 are cut off by a prescribed length with a semicircular biting blade and the terminal sections is separated into a shielded part and the exposed part of the first insulating layer by pulling the cut part of the conductors 3. Therefore, the signal conductor 1 can be electrically separated from the shielded conductors 3 without performing troublesome work of separately twisting the conductors 3. In addition, the terminals of the conductors 3 can be treated and the shielded wire can be assembled into a connector without using any troublesome process and device as in the case of the conventional example. |
