PURPOSE: To provide a method and a device for adjusting the power of signals transmitted by a transmitter like a mobile station or a base station using the same communication path in a cellular radio system. CONSTITUTION: A repetitive processing for mitigating the necessity of simultaneity and cooperation among the plural transmitters is provided. The power of the signals is converged to optimum transmission power defined as minimum power required for maintaining the ratio of carrier wave power to common communication path interference power at least to the size of the same degree as a certain predetermined target value obtained from the examination of service quality by a pace in a geometric progression. As the result of mitigating the necessity of the simultaneity and the cooperation, the need of an expensive clock device or timing device is eliminated and thus, the cost of transmission power control is reduced. |
