PURPOSE:To confirm the function which is operated at present or was operated, namely, the state of paper ejection in each paper eject tray by displaying the operation condition of a paper eject position control means and the states of paper eject trays. CONSTITUTION:When the sort function is operated, flappers 2502 to 2508 are controlled to output the copies to trays so that they are ejected in the order of trays 2512 to 2516. When the sort function is not operated, copies are normally ejected to the highest bin of a sorter 220; but when trays 2509 to 2511 are assigned to respective functions to be operated by user setting, copies are ejected to assigned trays. When a sort key of the operation part is depressed, it is discriminated whether copies are ejected to each tray at present or nor; and when they are ejected at present, the function which is operated to eject the copies is discriminated. When copies are not ejected to the tray at present and there are no copies on this tray, the set function is discriminated and displayed. |
