<p>PURPOSE:To obtain such an electrophotographic toner that can be fixed at a low fixing temp., does not cause any problem for practical use concerning to offset resistance, and has excellent fixing strength to a transfer sheet and image characteristics, by incorporating at least a specified low melting point polyester resin, polyester resin containing polyfunctional monomers, and crosslinking agent. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of polyester resin having a wide mol.wt. distribution is obtd. by mixing a low melting point polyester resin and a polyester resin containing polyfunctional monomers and then selectively crosslinking the polyester resin containing polyfunctional monomers with a crosslinking agent. The low melting point polyester resin contributes to the fixing strength, while the crosslinked polyester resin gives the offset resistance It is necessary that the starting temp. of melting of the low melting point polyester resin is between 50 deg.C and 100 deg.C so as to obtain good fixing property at a low temp. If the temp. is <50 C, a problem concerning to storage property is caused. If the temp. is >=100 deg.C, fixing property degrades.</p> |
