PURPOSE:To remove foreign matter such as dust retained on a contact part by composing at least some part of a thin layer blade cover with a transparent material and allowing a cleaner piece to easily enter for cleaning while watching the contact part. CONSTITUTION:The thin layer blade cover 3 is composed by notching a part of the main body of the thin layer blade cover 3 provided so as to cover the thin layer blade 2, for instance, the end part in the shaft direction of the developing roller 1, and covering the part with the transparent cover 7 from above the thin layer blade cover 3 main body. As the material for the cover, the transparent material capable of watching the thin layer blade 2 therethrough is preferably used. Then, at the time of removing foreign matter retained in the contact part between the developing roller 1 and the thin layer blade 2, the cleaner piece of the blade cleaner is allowed to enter the contact part, while watching the contact part between the developing roller 1 and the thin layer blade 2 through the transparent part of the thin layer blade cover 3. Thus, the cleaner piece is allowed to easily enter, without reducing the scatter preventing function of the developer. |
