PURPOSE:To attain clear print by providing a line memory, a picture element extract means, a means detecting the number of black level data, and a discrimination means and applying interleave processing by a required line number when the number of the black level data is at the outside of a prescribed range. CONSTITUTION:Image data by 4 lines are transferred and stored to a line memory 15. Then data of the memory 15 are transferred to a shift register 18 by four times by 4-bit each from an address generator 16, and when black/white level data of 4X4 picture elements are received, the data are transferred from the shift register 18 to a latch 20, in which the data are latched. The black/ white level data by 16 picture elements latched in the latch 20 are compared respectively with a black level limit and a white level limit set in advance by black/white level setting register 22 by comparators 21a, 21b. As a result, when the number of black level data is much, a density conversion section conduct density conversion from 200dpi. Furthermore, the converted image data are transferred and stored in the line memory while interleaving the required number of lines from the converted image data. |
