The mechanism, e.g. for holding a semi-conductor with flat faces between two electrical conductors or thermal dissipators (2, 3) or one of each, has two screws or long bolts (5) situated parallel to one another, symmetrically relative to the semi-conductor (1) and perpendicular to its axis, a plate (6) between the bolts and nuts (8) on their ends, with an elastic element (7) between the plate and the adjacent conductor (2) to control the effort applied. The elastic element (7) is made from a polysiloxanic elastomer made from alcenyl:silyl- and hydrogen:silyl-containing components, and it can have a cavity containing a chemically inert gas or liquid.
