PURPOSE:To provide a traffic information selector for an automobile in which traffic information program is selected based on the newest broadcast schedule of broadcast stations receptible for each zone. CONSTITUTION:This selector is provided with an update information reception means 22 receiving update information of a program time table for each broadcast station, a 1st storage means 23 storing an updated program time table, a clock means 25 calculating current date and time data, a 2nd storage means 24 storing an area table for each broadcast station, a channel selection control means 26 that retrieves the area table and the program time table based on current position and time and date data and reads broadcast station data on air at present or scheduled for broadcast receptible at a current zone from the 1st storage means 23, and a notification means 29 reporting channel selection data. |
