METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE:To provide an overcurrent control method in accordance with the number of compressors in operation and capacities of the compressors by protecting the respective compressors against overcurrent by means of one current detecting system using an overcurrent value setting table provided in a microcomputer. CONSTITUTION:Operation current (i) of compressors 1a, 1b is detected by a current transformer 5 to send detection as a control circuit detection voltage (V) to an A/D converter 8 through a bridge rectifying circuit 6 and a smoothing capacitor 7. The detection voltage (V) is inputted to a microcomputer 12. Control is respectively performed according to an overcurrent value setting table 9 when one unit of the compressor 1a is in operation, according to an overcurrent value setting table 10 when one unit of the compressor 1b is in operation and according to an overcurrent value setting table 11 when two units of the compressors 1a, 1b are in operation.
