PURPOSE:To automatically generate mask data of high precision by displaying picture data on a display part and moving a window indicating the processing area and processing picture data or the background and the outline part to generate, work and output mask data. CONSTITUTION:This device consists of a setting function which takes picture data in a rectangular window as the input and sets the area of the background and the area of a pattern, an outline calculating function which compares picture data in the rectangular window with the background area to obtain outline data distinguishing between the background and the pattern, an outline part processing part 5 which adds picture data or the new background due to movement of the window to the background area to update the background area, a binarizing processing part 6 which generates a mask where the overall area is binarized in accordance with outline data distinguishing between the background and the pattern, a mask generation part 3 which sets the rectangular window on a display part 2 and processes data of the background and the outline part to generate mask data, and a mask output part 4 which works and outputs mask data. |
