PURPOSE:To reduce the distance between an optical signal source and an optical distribution means when optical clock signals are distributed. CONSTITUTION:A planar optical distribution waveguide 12 is formed on one substrate surface 18a, and a diffraction grating 14 for incidence and a plurality of diffraction gratings 16 for output are arranged in the waveguide 12. An optical clock signal source 20 and a plurality of logic operation circuits 22 are formed on the other substrate surface 18b. The diffraction grating 14 for incidence 14 is constituted as a concentric circles diffraction grating. An optical clock signal from the optical signal source 20 is diffracted by the diffraction grating 14, and guided so as to be radially distributed in the optical distribution waveguide 12. The radially distributed optical clock signal is diffracted by each of the diffraction gratings 16 for output, and inputted in the logic operation circuits 22 corresponding to the diffraction gratings 16. Each of the logic operation circuits 22 is synchronized on the basis of the optical clock signal, and performs an operating process. |
