摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To improve the regulation of the flow of a refrigerant liquid between a condenser and an evaporator by regulating the refrigerant liquid flow as a function of both the level of the liquid in the condenser sump and the system pressure differential between the condenser and evaporator enabling to respond to a low system pressure differential. CONSTITUTION: With the accumulation of the refrigerant liquid on the bottom of a condenser sump 30, a float member 110 rises raising a metering sleeve 95 in a sequential order. Then, the lid of a metering slot comes off and the refrigerant liquid moves through a liquid sump hole 140 giving a pressure to a stopping member 75. When the refrigerant liquid exerts the enough pressure overcoming the pressure exerted by a bias means 80, the stopping member 75 is moved in the direction of a downward axial position, and the refrigerant liquid flow towards the evaporator 45 through the outlet 35 of the liquid sump is formed. Thus, the stopping member 75 is moved in the direction of the downward axial position and the refrigerant liquid continues to flow towards the evaporator 45 through the outlet of the liquid sump.</p>
