PURPOSE: To obtain a receptacle terminal that realizes low inserting force and high contacting pressure as well as make it possible to get an enough wiping amount. CONSTITUTION: A receptacle terminal 2 has an approximately box shape terminal receiving part 6. The terminal receiving part 6 has a contact arm 46 extending from the main body 24. A tongue piece 62 at a tip of the contact arm 46 is surrounded by a tab 66 of strut walls 40. When receiving other terminal, as the tongue piece 62 of the contact arm 46 is supported by the tab 66, a high contact pressure contact with the other terminal is realized. |
