PURPOSE:To generate a pattern for segment plotting and a pattern for painting- out plotting only by holding a one-dimensional pattern for plotting. CONSTITUTION:A one-dimensional pattern memory 5 shared between a line address generator 1 and a fill address generator 2 is provided, and a memory address generator 6 which supplies the read address to the one-dimensional pattern memory 5 is provided, and the read address is supplied to a pattern effective width detector 7, to which the read start address and the pattern effective width are set and inputted, to output a pattern effective width attainment signal, and this signal and the span update signal which is outputted from the fill address generator 2 and is supplied through an initialization necessary/unnecessary indicating switch 9, are inputted to output a load signal to a load signal generator 10, and the load signal is supplied to the memory address generator 6 to load the read start address, and the pattern effective width attainment signal is supplied as the address generation stop signal to the line address generator 1 and the fill address generator 2 through a repeat necessary/unnecessary indicating switch 8. |
