SLIDING DISTORTION ELEMENT AND VIBRATION DEVICE

PURPOSE:To providing distortion element which can be manufactured easily and can enhance the conversion efficiency of sliding distortion. CONSTITUTION:One or a plurality of internal electrodes 2b for drive are provided inside a piezoelectric body 1 opposite to the surface electrode 2b for drive and a plurality of rows of this setting are provided at an equal interval along sliding direction and then a potential difference is given between adjacent electrodes for drive, thus performing polarization treatment so that shear deformation is generated along the sliding direction. The polarization treatment is performed by laying out an electrode 2a for polarization alternately with the internal electrode 2b for drive in the piezoelectric body 1 and giving a potential difference between the adjacent electrodes 2a for polarization.
