<p>PURPOSE:To provide a magnetic recording and reproducing device recording a signal of a broadcast program and using an input changeover section to stop video recording when no signal is received for a prescribed period. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with an exclusive input terminal 1 receiving a signal from a receiver output terminal, a signal reception section 2 for a broadcast program, a signal detection section 4 detecting the presence of a signal selected by an input changeover section 3 selecting a signal from the terminal 1 or an input signal from the reception section 2, a recording and reproducing section 5 recording the signal selected by the changeover section 3, and a display section 6 representing the selecting state of the terminal 1 or the reception section 2 by the changeover section 3, and with an operation start exclusive button 9 of a control section 7 used to send a video recording start command to the recording and reproducing section 5 by receiving power of each section, selecting the changeover section 3 to the exclusive input terminal 1, selecting the circuit section 3 to the reception section 2 when data from the video recording state detection section 4 indicate the absence of the signal for a prescribed period, and sending the video recording stop command to the recording and reproducing section 5.</p> |
