Lanthanum ferrites doped with earthy bases have the general formula: La1-xMexFeO3, in which Me stands for one of the following alkaline earth metals: Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, the extent of doping x equals 0.5 to 0.001 and the anion oxygen deficit delta equals 0 to 0.25. These ferrites may be used as sensor materials for resistive oxygen sensors.
