Described is a method for the thermal treatment, in particular cracking, of hydrocarbons, the method comprising the following steps: a hydrocarbon-containing medium is fed to a reactor, the medium is heated as it passes through the reaction zone of the reactor, the gaseous products thus produced are led out of the reactor and passed on for further treatment, the rest of the medium with the remaining liquid and solid products is evacuated from the reactor, the medium evacuated from the reactor is purified and the purified medium recycled to the reactor. |
