The PIP screen muting circuit of a television comprises: a selection switching unit for selectively outputting one of a TV signal output from a intermediate frequency processor and composite image signals input from an external input terminal; a synchronous detecting unit for detecting if a PIP signal selected via the selection switching unit is synchronized; a PIP processing unit for inputting a signal selected by the selection switching unit and main vertical/horizontal synchronization signals and outputting color signals and a blanking signal; a color signal control unit for transmitting or isolating the color signals; a microcomputer for controlling the selection switching unit and the color signal control unit; a video processor for controlling the light and brightness, color and depth of color; and a color signal amplifying unit for amplifying the signal output from the video processor to be displayed on a CTP. |
