Adjusting and checking flow through valves

The valve (21) is mounted in a measurement device (5) and subjected to a predefined vol. fluid flow whilst the resulting pressure in the measurement device is determined. An adjustment device on the valve is adjusted until the measured pressure corresp. to a demand pressure. The vol. flow of the fluid (26) corresp. to the desired throughput of the valve. A pressure measurement signal can be used as a control signal for a control device (12) which adjusts the valve's adjustment device. The control device can be a stepper motor, an inductive or a capacitive control element.
