A weapons-handling and discharge system for a submarine which comprises a rack (14) for attachment around the exterior of the pressure hull (12) of a submarine, canisters (19) to contain weapons, an exterior casing (13) provided around the pressure hull (12), the canisters (19) being located between the pressure hull (12) and the exterior casing, means to lock the canisters to the rack, a forward or rearward facing aperture in the casing and means to discharge the weapon through the aperture.
