<p>The proposed reflection spectroscopic device comprises the following elements: a) a device for producing (1) and directing (3-5) electromagnetic waves onto a specimen (6) under investigation; b) means (8) for sensing and digitising the resulting reflection spectrum; and c) an analyser (9) configured in such a way that it: c.1) has access to: c.1.1) one or more specific mean value curves, each of which is based on standardized reflection spectra of known specimens of the same type, c.1.2) one or more associated weighting curves based on deviations of the individual standardized spectra from their respective mean value curves, and c.1.3) associated weighted error limits characteristic of the specimen type in question; c.2) evaluates the digitised spectra transmitted to it from the sensing/digitisation system (8) by: c.2.1) standardizing the spectra fed into it in the same way as with the available specific mean value curves, and comparing them with available mean value curves, c.2.2) weighting any deviations from the available mean value curves with the appropriate weighting curve, and, c.2.3) determining whether the weighted deviation lies inside or outside the relevant weighted error limit and whether or not the digitised spectrum should thus be ascribed to the specimen type in question; and c.3) outputs the information obtained via an output device (10).</p> |
