Track surface for e.g. soft ground

Several load-bearing, wearproof plates (2-4) of rubber material are superposed and joined and laid as composite plates (1) on the unconsolidated ground and overlapped at their abutments to form an e.g. heavy vehicle track. The individual plates are provided with heavy-duty reinforcement (5,7) e.g. steel cables to run crossways on two of the single plates. The plates are made of conveyor belt cutouts and the plate (1) exceeds the gauge of the vehicle. Where two single plates are used to form the composite plate, these plates should be reinforced in parallel to one another and at right angles to the vehicle as compared with a plate (1) made up of three single plates in which case the cables (7) etc. in the centre plate (3) run in the drive sense (6). This centre plate can be made up of single plate elements (3a-3e) and the respective composite plates are joined up releasably by mechanical clamps.
