The control spring (4) is attached at one end to a first lever (1). The opposite end is attached to a second lever (5). This lever (5) pivots on its axis in the bearing (6), the lateral position of which can be adjusted by the screw (12). With the second lever (5) in a first position (7') the engine is turning at 1500 rpm and in a second position (7") at 1800 rpm. The position of the second lever (5) is altered by the movement of a third lever (8), which itself is acted on by a mechanism mounted on the engine. The second lever (8) rotates about the bearing (9) and its end (10) is attached to a flat on lever (5). The tension in the spring is altered, along with the position of the lever (1). As shown, the ratio of spring lengths a2/a1 is 1.317.
