A mechanically actuable sliding spool valve has a first valve component movable in response to mechanical actuation and a second valve component movable in relation to the first valve component in response to pressure-medium pressure, whereby the output of the valve corresponds to the sum of the valve component movements. The first component may be a valve rod (17) on which the second component, a sliding valve spool (3), is displaceable through pressure. Alternatively, the first component may be the spool (43) and the second component a lining (44) displaceable in the valve housing (42) or the housing itself which is arranged to be movable. The adjustment of the valve in response to the pressure medium permits a compensation or fine adjustment of the valve setting determined by the steering wheel position to be made. <IMAGE> |
