The stone cutting machine has a table (2) and a receiving device for a working unit (3) movable linearly parallel to the table surface. The receiving device is composed of a bent-arm outrigger, which has two arms (8a,8b) pivoted to each other. One (8a) carriers the working unit, and the other is pivoted to an axis fixed to the table. The arm carrying the working unit is coupled to this axis by a turning angle transmission device (17) operated by the other arm. There may be a column (7) on the table, with an axis pin (9) spaced out from it to carry the second arm of the outrigger.
