The automatic feeding device comprises a container from the lower part of which the fodder is fed out on to a fodder table (8) through a feed-out aperture (10) in the container. The feed-out apertures is formed between an elastic strip (9) and the top side of the fodder table. The strip is arranged transversally to the fodder feed-out direction so that when the animal with its nose presses against the elastic strip the latter bends downwards to a limited extent, whereby the fodder runs out onto the fodder table only to the limited width of the extent of the strip. The fodder table is inclined downwards and outwards in the feed-out direction. The strip is made of rubber or plastic. The container has plain walls and the strip comprises the lowest part of one of the container vertical limiting walls. |
