A sleeping bag is provided with a thin top covering layer (40) which is stitched at one side to a top cover (20) of a sleeping bag and can be zippered around the top cover (20) at the other peripheral edges to form a sleeping compartment in which a person can sleep on warm days. A removable bug-proof screen (60) is engaged with a storage bag (30) and is provided with a plurality of retaining units (61) disposed on one face of the screen. A number of supporting rods (51), each of which is made up of a plurality of connecting sections jointed end to end, can be removablyengaged with the bug-proof screen (60) by way of the retaining units (61) and can be retained in place at each end by retaining posts (50) secured to the bottom bag sheet (10) of the sleep bag.
